Miller Maintenance Company was founded in July of 2011 by father and son, Jake and Tim Miller. Tim is a lifelong resident of Richmond. He is a class of 1985 Madison Central Graduate. After high school, he was a manager at a local service station until September of 1994 when he purchased a small building on Bighill Avenue and began his first company, Miller’s Tire and Auto Care. He has since built a larger facility down the street from his original location, and purchased another location now known as Millers Tire Too.
Jake is also a lifelong resident of Richmond, and a class of 2007 graduate from Madison Central High School. After highschool, he attended Morehead State University where he graduated with a degree in chemistry in 2011.
Shortly after Jake had returned to Richmond, the events that led to the formation of MMC began to unfold. Tim had several pieces of property that were in need of some asphalt sealcoating. Tim’s uncle had recently retired from the asphalt maintenance business in Indianapolis and moved to Richmond. It was decided that they would build a small sealcoating unit to do Tim’s personal properties.
Once the unit was complete, the potential to build a business became apparent. After our first year and a half, we have developed into one of the leading asphalt maintenance contractors in the area. With our current team, the addition of our new 1500 gallon sealcoat setup, and a determination to provide quality workmanship we look forward to serving central Kentucky’s asphalt maintenance needs!
